Brass CEO Bryan Sims' recent pledge to donate the majority of his life earnings to charity by the time he dies is gathering interest from national media sources. Bryan was featured in an interview on Inc.com and he wrote an article on change.org about the choice:
"While I’m not a billionaire and am certainly not retired, I decided there was nothing stopping me from making the commitment and putting it out there, while also encouraging others to do the same. I sent an email to Ryan encouraging him to make the pledge also. Turns out, he already had. We both made the same determination independently from one another that when we die, we are going to donate the majority of our wealth to charity."
Bryan said he was inspired by Warren Buffett and a coalition of over 40 billionaires who pledged to donate the majority of their life's wealth. He said he realized there was nothing stopping him from following their example.
