Some local students are getting a head start when its comes to planning their financial future. Assemblyman John McEneny joined other education groups on Tuesday to discuss the Brass student Program. It's aimed at helping high-school students better understand money, and the impact it has on their lives. The program includes a magazine that was recently launched at every public high school in the state. It's already receiving rave reviews from teachers and students alike.

Alicia Barr said "I got a little bit more information that I could use in the future. Information about the magazine, information about how to better go about achieving my goals for business." Bryan Sims said "I think they really appreciate something that is written at their age level rather than a lot of things that kind of talk down to people. We really try and avoid that by featuring other young people in the magazine."

The Brass Student program is being sponsored by New York State Credit Unions.
