The November issue of brass|CU has been released, and if you haven't received it already, you should be getting it in the next few days. This issue features Miri Ben-Ari, The Hip-Hop Violinist and one of our biggest cover stories to date. Miri is an Israeli born hip hop violinist who is merging the musical cultures of classical and hip hop. She has toured with Kanye West, performed live with Jay Z, already won a Grammy and just recently released her first hip hop album, "The Hip Hop Violinist." To listen to some samples of her music or watch her music video, copy and paste this link www.miribenari.com into your browser and click under "Multimedia."
The November issue marks the conclusion of our second year in print, a significant event in brass history. As you read your latest issue, so are over 150,000 16 to 25 year old young adult credit union members from 86 credit unions throughout 32 states. It's amazing how far things have evolved and progressed since we launched our first issue to 10 credit unions and their 30,000 young adults. From the way things are looking with so many credit unions planning to launch brass in 2006, our February issue should see record growth. Sometimes it feels pretty surreal.
Happy Holidays and best wishes.
